João Pompeu joins the editorial board of Nature Conservation

Dr. João Pompeu is a biologist currently working as postdoctoral researcher on environmental modelling at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) in Spain. He has a PhD in Earth System Science and a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing, both obtained at the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE). 

Recently, he joined the Editorial board of Nature Conservation as an expert on the subjects: Landscape ecology; Ecological modelling; Species distribution and modelling; Climate Change; and Ecological informatics. 

Pompeu says his main interests in science are the understanding of ecosystem dynamics through spatial planning and modelling, and also the promotion of species conservation. His passion for nature and the Arts has also led him to conservation photography.
