The Student Conference on Conservation Science starts in Hungary on September 10

Pensoft will take part in the upcoming Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS), which will take place on September 10-14, 2024 in Balatonvilágos, Hungary. SCCS, the largest international conference in conservation science, consists of an international series of events that offers an opportunity for young researchers and students of conservation science to present their work, participate in skill-building workshops, and engage with peers and established scientists.

The event is organised by the HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research and the Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (RCISD).

As a sponsor of the event, Pensoft is proud offer two prestigious awards: the Best Talk Award and the Best Poster Award, recognizing outstanding contributions to conservation research. The winners of both awards will get a chance to publish in Nature Conservation for free.

Safeguard, a project focused on pollinator conservation in Europe in which Pensoft plays a key role, will also sponsor the event. Safeguard partners Prof. Yann Clough, Dr. Deepa Senapathi, and Dr. Costanza Geppert, will all lead plenaries at SCCS.
